PPA Next Gen Awards 2023

(formerly PPA 30 under 30)

The PPA Next Gen Awards are looking to recognise the top 30 rising stars under the age of 30, currently working in consumer magazine and business media in the UK.

This is your opportunity to showcase the successes you've achieved so far and receive industry-wide recognition. Enter today if you are, or if you know someone who:

  • Always strives to exceed the expectations of your team and business
    
  • Is already leading the way and making a difference
    
  • Seeks out new approaches and ways to improve how your business works

We encourage entries from individuals with diverse talents and backgrounds. The winners will be selected by a panel of expert judges who will be looking for evidence of star performers set to be the next generation of publishing excellence.

Applicants and nominees must have been born on or after 30 June 1993.


How do I enter?

  • A 400-word supporting statement about yourself, your role, and examples of how you work hard to deliver for your business

  • At least one supporting document showcasing your work

  • Either a 200-word endorsement from your direct manager or a professional reference if you're a freelancer

  • A headshot or high-resolution photo of yourself facing the camera

PPA Journalism Student of the Year

This award recognises the future content creators of our industry, showcasing exceptional work during their studies, and displaying promise to be the journalistic talent of tomorrow.


Open to all current undergraduate or postgraduate journalism students or those that have graduated in 2023 (of any age range).

To enter you need to submit three pieces of original work (at least one piece needs to be coursework). It can be written editorial, audio, or video content – and published on digital, print, or social. You’ll also need to provide a 200-word supporting statement from your course leader.


Please note that all entries should only consist of work undertaken in the last academic year as a student, work produced after graduation should not be included.

Extended entry deadline: Friday 28 July 2023.
There is no cost to enter.
